According to Kiper, the strike also damaged port infrastructure, including buildings, storage facilities, and fuel reservoirs. No casualties were reported among personnel working at those facilities.
During emergency response operations, Russian forces launched a follow-up strike, damaging specialized rescue equipment. Kiper said emergency crews avoided casualties because they had taken shelter.

The attack marks the latest in a series of Russian strikes on foreign commercial shipping operating from Ukrainian ports.
