“There was a strike on a civilian infrastructure facility. Unfortunately, three people were killed. More than ten people were injured. There are severe cases, all have already been taken to hospitals, they are in the operating rooms. Doctors are doing everything possible and fighting for their lives,” he said.

Vilkul later clarified that the attack was carried out using ballistic missiles. He also reported that 23 people were injured in total, with two in critical condition.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, said the strike also damaged industrial infrastructure in the city.

Just a day earlier, on June 22, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes across four districts of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region and several areas in Kherson region, killing one person and injuring 14 others.

The coordinated attack involved artillery fire, aerial bombs, and multiple types of drones, hitting civilian infrastructure, residential zones, and private buildings throughout the day.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the strikes affected the Nikopol, Synelnykove, Kryvyi Rih, and Kamianske districts. A 77-year-old woman was killed and nine other people were wounded.

Oleksandr Hanzha noted Russian forces used drones, artillery, and a guided aerial bomb in the attacks.

Separately, a Russian FPV drone struck a group of civilians traveling along a road in Nikopol on June 16, killing three people.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration said the dead included an 87-year-old woman and her 51-year-old son. Officials are still working to identify the third victim of the attack.
