The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported that the casualties included an 87-year-old mother and her 51-year-old son. Authorities are currently working to identify the third individual who died in the attack.

The strike is part of a series of attacks on civilians during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Earlier on June 16, drone strikes in Kherson targeted a public minibus, resulting in the death of one man, followed by subsequent attacks on police officers and municipal workers.

Additionally, on the night of June 16, a Russian strike on the city of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region left eight people injured, including a four-year-old girl and a thirteen-year-old boy.

Earlier, Russian forces launched multiple strikes on Nikopol and nearby areas in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region injuring nine people, including two minors, according to local authorities and prosecutors.

Oleksandr Hanzha reported that the initial attack involved FPV drones, which wounded four women.

Two of the victims—a 62-year-old in serious condition and a 33-year-old in moderate condition—were hospitalized, while women aged 39 and 49 are receiving outpatient treatment. The strikes damaged a multi-story residential building and a pharmacy, and destroyed a vehicle.
