Russian Drones Hit Chernihiv and Kharkiv Regions, Killing Two Civilians

Russian drone attacks killed two civilians and injured two others in separate strikes on Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions on May 21, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that one person was killed and two others were injured after a Russian drone struck the Novhorod-Siverskyi district in the Chernihiv region.

“Chernihiv region: as a result of a Russian UAV strike on the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, one person was killed, and two others were injured,” the service said.
The attack also sparked fires at an agricultural enterprise, where a vehicle and a warehouse building caught fire. Emergency crews said the fires had been extinguished by morning.
In a separate attack in the Kharkiv region, Russian forces struck a truck with a drone, killing one person, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported.
“The occupiers struck a truck in the Kharkiv district. As a result of the enemy UAV hit, a person was killed,” Syniehubov said.
Emergency crews extinguished the fire caused by the strike.
Earlier, Russian drones struck the postal operator Nova Poshta depot No. 6 in Kharkiv three times on May 19, causing fires across a total area of 120 square meters.
