Russian Forces Launch Mass Air Strike on Kramatorsk, Leaving Three Injured and Multiple Buildings Destroyed

On May 25, Kramatorsk came under a mass Russian air strike early in the morning, leaving three people injured and damaging residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.

Kramatorsk City Military Administration head Oleksandr Honcharenko wrote in a Facebook post, that Russian forces dropped five FAB-250 aerial bombs on the city.
He noted that residential areas and civilian infrastructure were among the targets of the strike.

“According to preliminary information, two women and one man were injured. Fourteen multi-storey residential buildings, an educational institution, and administrative buildings were damaged,” he said.
The strike comes just a day after Russia carried out a large-scale overnight air attack on Ukraine, deploying 690 drones and missiles, including a medium-range ballistic missile that reportedly hit the southern part of Kyiv region.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the strike consisted of 600 drones and 90 missiles, with Kyiv identified as the primary target. Air defense units reported that they intercepted or neutralized 604 incoming aerial threats.

Overall, Russia’s large-scale missile and drone assault on Ukraine on May 24 is estimated to have cost Moscow around $361 million.
The strike package included one Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile valued at roughly $50 million, two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles costing about $10 million in total, and three Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles with an estimated combined value of $16.2 million.
