Ukraine Approves Long-Range Operations Against Russia as F-16 Support Expands

Ukraine has officially approved a strategic plan for long-range operations targeting Russian positions during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine through October, while actively securing additional military equipment for its F-16 fighter jet fleet before the end of the year.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the decisions following joint consultations with the Ministry of Defense and military officials in charge of domestic weapons manufacturing planning.

Negotiations are underway with specific partner nations to secure targeted aviation packages aimed at bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities in the coming months.

Simultaneously, defense officials have completed initial operational frameworks for prototype weaponry specifically designed to intercept reactive Shahed drones, establishing production schedules, production volumes, and required funding mechanisms.

“There are specific countries with which we are agreeing on specific aviation packages. Reinforcements will arrive in the near future,” Zelenskyy stated during his address.
