Ukraine’s HUR Strikes Russian Fighter Hangars and Oil Depot in Temporarily Occupied Crimea

The “Ghosts” special unit of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) struck multiple critical Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea during operations in April 2026, the agency reported on May 7.

According to HUR, the strikes targeted crucial components of a unified Russian system designed to detect incoming threats, coordinate military actions, protect aviation, support the Black Sea Fleet, and supply the occupying forces with resources.
The intelligence agency confirmed that the special forces unit successfully hit the following Russian targets:
A communication and power supply point for a “Geran/Gerbera” drone relay;
A “Podlet-K1” radar system;
An MR-231-3 “Vaigach” maritime radar;
An optical-electronic reconnaissance post, an MR-231 radar, a “Serval” control system, alongside electronic warfare (EW) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) equipment;
A “Baltika-B” maritime radar;
An electronic warfare station and observation systems belonging to the Russian Black Sea Fleet;
A shelter hangar for a Russian Su-24 aircraft;
A fuel reservoir at an ATAN company oil depot;
A shelter hangar for a Russian Su-30 aircraft;
An electronic reconnaissance laboratory located on the roof of a Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters building.
HUR also released combat footage of the operation, stating that the precision strikes inflicted significant new losses on the Russian army.
