Zelenskyy Announces 40-Day SBU Operation to Pressure Russia to End the War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially approved a 40-day strategic influence operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) designed to pressure Russia into concluding its war.
The initiative was announced on June 25, following a continuous period of high-impact drone deployments by Ukrainian forces along the front lines.

The announcement coincided with overnight and early morning drone strikes on June 25 that targeted the Poltavskaya oil depot in Krasnodar Krai, as well as two oil refineries in Ufa, located within the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan.
The precise tactics and specific targets of the newly approved campaign remain classified. However, the plan directly leverages recent military achievements by specialized units.
Ukrainian drone operations have increasingly focused on degrading Russian logistical and economic infrastructure to alter the course of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"The SBU has been demonstrating the highest indicators of protecting Ukraine's positions at the front for several months in a row thanks to the use of drones of various types. The Special Operations Center (SOC) 'Alpha' is the leader in terms of the results of destruction of personnel and equipment of the occupier's forces," Zelenskyy stated.

The long-range strikes carried out by the SBU SOC "Alpha" underscore the expanding reach of Ukrainian domestic intelligence.
By targeting critical energy infrastructure deep within Russian territory, the operation seeks to systematically diminish the economic resources available to the Kremlin for sustaining its military campaigns.
Previously, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine obtained internal documents showing unfixable issues within the temporarily occupied territories, which Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on June 25.
The intercepted materials showed a virtually daily deepening of the crisis with fuel, military logistics, and management in Crimea. According to the data, the Russian occupation administration explicitly admitted it could not resolve the disruptions caused by Ukrainian medium-range actions and long-range operations against Russian oil refineries.
