Denmark will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth about $660 million, the Danish Defense Ministry reported on June 30.

Denmark’s 30th military aid package for Ukraine will include ammunition and other weapons. It also provides new funding for the “Danish model,” a mechanism that allows partners to buy weapons and defense products directly from Ukrainian companies.

About $195 million will be allocated through that model to support purchases from Ukraine’s defense industry.

“This has strengthened Ukraine’s ability to purchase significant quantities of drones, artillery systems and ammunition with short delivery times. In addition, additional funds have been allocated for ammunition for long-range artillery, which is in high demand in Ukraine,” Denmark’s Defense Ministry said.

The ministry noted that since 2022, Denmark has provided Ukraine with military support totaling around $11.52 billion.

Separately, on June 30, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov met with Danish Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus.

The two officials discussed further steps to scale Ukrainian technologies, develop anti-ballistic capabilities, and attract additional funding for the needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

A key focus was expanding the Drone Deal, a partnership built around Ukraine’s battlefield drone experience and defense technology. Fedorov said Ukraine is ready to share combat experience, data, and modern warfare technologies with partners.

“This is a mutually beneficial partnership. We get more tools for the front, and our partners get access to Ukrainian defense innovations,” Fedorov said.

The ministers also agreed to develop joint programs supporting defense startups and security technologies.

Another area of discussion was a European anti-ballistic project. Ukraine is counting on Danish support in building its own solution to counter ballistic threats.

The ministers also discussed unblocking roughly $6.7 billion under the European Peace Facility, which could be directed toward the critical needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Earlier, reports emerged that Ukraine would receive an additional 15,000 long-range artillery rounds from Denmark as part of a military assistance package, with part of the ammunition already delivered, according to Ukraine’s defense ministry.
