An underground partisan network operating inside Russia has sabotaged a military electronic warfare vehicle “Omut” in the Bryansk region before it could be deployed toward the Sumy direction, according to a statement from the Atesh resistance movement on February 12.
The group said one of its agents—identified as a Russian serviceman—carried out a covert act of sabotage at a repair and storage base for communications equipment.

The operative allegedly poured sugar into the fuel tank of a specialized KAMAZ-based vehicle equipped with the “Omut” electronic warfare system, which had been preparing to move toward the front line.
The mobile Omut complex is considered important for Russian forces because it is designed to create a protective electronic shield against drones covering troop columns and defensive positions.
According to the group, once contaminated fuel enters the system, the engine of the heavy vehicle is expected to fail at the very start of its combat mission.

The movement claims the sabotage will not only prevent the deployment of the Omut protection system but could also leave the stalled vehicle exposed on open routes, turning it into what they described as an easy and costly target for Ukrainian drones.
“We continue to expand our network of agents inside the Russian armed forces and systematically mine the enemy’s logistics before it even leaves rear bases,” the statement said. “Now every trip for Russian crews becomes a lottery, where their lives and scarce equipment are at stake.”
Earlier, the resistance movement Atesh carried out a sabotage operation at a defense-related facility in Russia, partially halting the work of a plant involved in producing weapons and heavy equipment for the Russian army.
