Russia is building a new military base near the occupied city of Melitopol in southern Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian partisan movement “ATESH.” Surveillance photos and precise coordinates of the site were published by the group on February 11.

According to Telegram channel of ATESH, the construction is underway in the settlement of Myrne, Zaporizhzhia region. The site, reportedly under the control of Russia’s 291st Guards Motor Rifle Regiment, is being developed into a field camp for Russian personnel.

ATESH claimed its agents are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the site. The partisans released the exact coordinates of the location—46.930529, 35.417587—and stated that construction activity, including heavy equipment, is actively ongoing.

The group also reported the creation of a drone training cluster at the site, noting that Russian forces have begun preparing dedicated areas for training drone operators.

“The enemy is attempting to build a rear base for training reserves and UAV operators, assuming that being deep in occupied territory will shield them from strikes,” the statement said.

ATESH stated that the location remains under close watch and that its coordinates have been passed to Ukraine’s Defense Forces. “Instead of new barracks, the occupiers will receive a fiery greeting,” the group added in its statement.

Earlier, ATESH reported that a strike on a Russian fuel convoy in occupied Crimea had severely disrupted supply lines, leaving elements of the 337th Air Assault Regiment and 26th Motorized Rifle Regiment in Kherson short on fuel and forced to ration.
