The resistance movement ATESH has reported the disabling of a Russian Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system on the Kherson front, thanks to the actions of one of its agents within the Russian Armed Forces.

According to ATESH on September 29, the agent, who serves in the 439th Guards Rocket Artillery Brigade, recorded the deployment of the system during combat duty and passed along its coordinates and video footage. This information was relayed to Ukraine’s Defense Forces, which then struck the target and damaged the Pantsir’s radar station.

As a result, the system has been put out of action for several months, creating a gap in Russia’s air defense network in this sector of the front.

Atesh also reported that Russian soldiers in the Kherson region are sabotaging their own equipment to avoid being sent into combat. Agents from the 24th Motorized Rifle Regiment have deliberately set fire to military vehicles and transport in order to prevent their deployment to frontline positions under hostile conditions. This, the movement noted, has hindered further Russian operations in the area.

Atesh has characterized the situation in the unit as “critical,” linking the soldiers’ actions to heavy losses and harsh directives from Russian commanders. According to the group, many troops are abandoning their posts and defying orders amid the growing disorder.

Earlier, partisans in Sevastopol identified a Russian command post directing airstrikes on southern Ukraine, situated at the former Sevastopol Aviation Plant, which now functions as a branch of the state enterprise Aviakomplekt.
