Combat-Tested and Ready: Ukraine Unveils GYURZA-02 and TISA in Istanbul

Ukrainian defense firm UKR ARMO TECH has unveiled two of its latest armored vehicles—the UAT.GYURZA-02 and the UAT-TISA—at the IDEF 2025 international defense expo in Istanbul, signaling Ukraine’s growing presence in the global military industry, defense media outlet Defence Blog reported on July 22.
The company showcased the platforms as part of its broader push to offer cutting-edge battlefield solutions based on real-world combat experience in Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

“This week, UKR ARMO TECH is showcasing its latest armored vehicle solutions at one of the world’s leading defense exhibitions—IDEF 2025 in Istanbul,” the company announced.
“We’re proud to present two of our latest armored vehicles—UAT.GYURZA-02 and UAT-TISA—at IDEF, one of the leading international defense exhibitions. Both models reflect our commitment to innovation, mobility, and battlefield-tested protection—developed to meet the evolving needs of modern defense.”

According to UKR ARMO TECH, both vehicles are already in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces and are being produced at scale. Defense analysts estimate that several hundred units have already been manufactured and are actively deployed on the battlefield.
The two armored vehicles, though complementary, fulfill different tactical roles.

The UAT.GYURZA-02 is a heavily protected personnel carrier designed for rapid troop transport. It can carry up to 10 soldiers, including the crew, and is built on a custom-developed military chassis tailored for high-risk operations.
The vehicle’s armor meets Level 2 protection under NATO STANAG 4569, meaning it can withstand 7.62×39 mm rounds fired from 30 meters. It also offers substantial mine resistance, capable of withstanding blasts equivalent to 8 kilograms of TNT under its wheel or hull.
In contrast, the UAT-TISA is a nimble, lightweight tactical vehicle optimized for mobility in hostile environments. Developed on a Toyota Land Cruiser LC79 chassis, the vehicle features a four-person armored cabin, including a two-member crew.

Its armor meets Level 1 NATO AEP STANAG 4569 standards, providing protection against armor-piercing incendiary rounds up to 7.62 mm and mine resistance up to 3 kilograms of TNT.
UKR ARMO TECH also highlighted that the GYURZA-02 has received a NATO inventory number, confirming its codification within the alliance’s logistics systems.
Both vehicles were physically displayed at IDEF 2025, with the UAT-TISA showcased in a newly updated design.
The company emphasized that the development of both platforms was informed by frontline experience in Ukraine, with each vehicle category designed to meet distinct operational needs.

According to representatives, Ukraine’s domestic demand for vehicles is high, with state procurement orders already underway.
Earlier, Ukrainian defense company TENETA developed a new lightweight, single-use anti-drone device designed to counter enemy FPV drones and reconnaissance quadcopters.
