Daily Update: Russia Loses 760 Troops, 19 Artillery Systems and Air Defense System in One Day

Russian forces lost 760 troops over the past day, according to Ukraine’s General Staff on March 16.
The General Staff said Russia’s total estimated battlefield losses since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022 have reached approximately 1,279,930 personnel.

Alongside personnel losses, Russian forces also lost additional equipment during the same period. Ukrainian officials reported the destruction of two armored combat vehicles, 19 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, and one air defense system.
The updated figures also include 1,883 operational-tactical drones destroyed, along with 111 vehicles and fuel tankers, and two pieces of special military equipment.
Overall, Ukraine estimates that Russian forces have lost 11,781 tanks and more than 24,200 armored vehicles since the beginning of the invasion.

According to the General Staff, the intensity of combat remains high across the battlefield.
During the past 24 hours, Ukrainian and Russian forces engaged in 167 combat clashes, the report said.
Russian forces also continued extensive use of air power and long-range strikes. Over the same period, Russian aircraft carried out 101 airstrikes, dropping 287 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces launched 9,122 suicide drones and conducted 3,525 artillery and rocket attacks against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 155 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Russia’s battlefield losses have exceeded the number of new troops entering its military ranks for three consecutive months.
