Daily Update: Russia Loses 920 Troops, 50 Russian Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces suffered another day of heavy losses along the front line, with Ukrainian officials reporting significant personnel and equipment attrition as fighting continued across multiple sectors, according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces on February 24.
Russian combat losses over the previous 24 hours totaled 920 personnel, the military said in its update.

Total Russian combat losses since February 24, 2022, are estimated as follows:

Ukrainian military officials reported 116 combat engagements along the front line during the past day, highlighting continued high operational intensity despite shifting battlefield dynamics.
The General Staff noted that February 24 marked the 1,462nd day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

According to operational data released at 8:00 a.m., Russian forces conducted one missile strike using a single missile, 96 airstrikes dropping 265 guided aerial bombs, attacks involving 8,915 suicide drones, and 2,346 artillery and rocket attacks targeting Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 71 strikes carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed two Russian helicopters—a multipurpose Mi-8 and a Ka-52 attack helicopter—using strike drones in an operation carried out deep inside Russian territory.
