A Russian military town housing an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) division was struck by drones on October 24, resulting in damage to residential buildings deep within Russian territory.
Governor Igor Rudenya confirmed that drones attacked the closed administrative-territorial formation Ozerny in the Tver region, located approximately 180 km from Tver.
“As a result of repelling the attack, two apartment buildings sustained partial damage from drone fragments: window units were broken in a number of apartments, and the integrity of a section of the roof was compromised in one of the buildings,” the regional government's Telegram channel cited the governor as saying. Authorities claimed no one was injured in the strike.
Ozerny is the base for the 7th Guards Rezhitsa Red Banner Missile Division, which is part of Russia's Strategic Missile Forces. According to the city's official website, the division is armed with the Topol mobile ground-based missile system with ICBMs.

In addition to the missile division, the town of 10,000 residents hosts “Spetstekhnika” JSC. According to The Moscow Times, citing open source data, this enterprise produces, repairs, and maintains specialized military equipment and components under state defense contracts, including refueling and auxiliary systems for the needs of Russian missile formations and Aerospace Defense Forces.
Governor Rudenya stated that the government has taken control of addressing the damage, with officials conducting checks and beginning window replacement in damaged homes. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that a total of four unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the Tver region during the night and morning, The Moscow Times reported.
Earlier, the operators of Ukraine’s 5th Separate Assault Brigade achieved a highly accurate strike, neutralizing a Russian artillery position. The precision attack resulted in the destruction of a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher and two howitzers.
