A Ukrainian sniper has achieved a stunning long-range strike, eliminating two Russian soldiers from a distance of 4,000 meters on the Pokrovsk axis, with the feat being confirmed in an exclusive interview with Ukrinform by Oleksandr “Pryvyd ,” commander of the “Pryvydy Bakhmuty ” sniper platoon of the Separate Presidential Brigade, on August 19.

“This was our ‘Pryvydy’ team—now slightly larger than before—that set this record,” Pryvyd said.

He emphasized that precise shots at extreme distances are a regular part of the unit’s operations, achieved not by a single sniper, but by a coordinated support team.

“This isn’t a one-off. We consistently engage targets up to five kilometers away. Our work is team-based—it’s not just one person. The group includes shooters, spotters, AI operators who calculate trajectories, and aerial observers who film and provide corrections. Without any component of this team, this shot would be impossible,” he explained.

The sniper rifle used for the record shot was a domestically produced Snipex Alligator. While it has impressive capabilities, Pryvyd noted it still requires technical improvements.

“The rifle can achieve many long-range records, but without modifications, these feats aren’t possible. I would advise the manufacturer to focus on these upgrades and consult with us; we can explain the essentials. With certain improvements, the rifle could reach five kilometers,” he said.

Over the past year alone, the Pryvydy unit has reportedly eliminated over a thousand Russian troops in this sector.

Earlier, A Ukrainian sniper struck a Russian armored personnel carrier from an extraordinary distance of 1,700 meters, reportedly neutralizing the vehicle’s driver during an enemy assault operation.
