North Korean Troops Disguised as Indigenous Peoples of Far East Russia Seen Fighting Against Ukraine
A group of North Korean soldiers, posing as "indigenous people" from Russia's Far East, has been involved in combat with Ukrainian forces in Russia's western border region of Kursk.
This was reported by Anatolii Barhylevych, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an interview with the Ukrainian outlet TSN.
According to the military commander, these fighters operate within Russian general-purpose military units, disguised as members of the indigenous population of the Far East, particularly Buryats.
"They possess the necessary documents, are fully legalized, and have been trained at the Mulyansk Training Center by specialists from the Ryazan Airborne School to conduct operations in the European part of Russia," said Barhylevych.
The military chief stated that more than 11,000 North Korean soldiers are currently deployed in the Kursk region and have already engaged in battles with Ukrainian forces. This deployment had been previously confirmed by North Korea.
Previously, a high-ranking general of the Korean People's Army was reported injured in a Ukrainian strike on the Kursk region.
