Russia Launches Drone Strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Region, Leaving Two Dead and Several Injured

On the night of August 29, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down eight Russian drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The attack, however, claimed the lives of two people and left at least three others injured, Head of the Regional Military Administration Serhii Lysak reported.
“Despite the effective work of our defenders, the attacks still caused casualties and destruction. In Dnipro, two people were injured. A 46-year-old man is in serious condition, while a 69-year-old man sustained moderate injuries. Both were hospitalized,” Lysak said.
He noted that fires broke out as a result of the strikes but were promptly contained by emergency services. An infrastructure facility and a fire station were damaged.

The Mezhivska, Slovianska, Pokrovska, and Vasylkivska communities in the Synelnykove district also came under attack. Two civilians—a man and a woman—were killed, while a 50-year-old woman was injured and treated at the scene.
The strikes sparked fires at an enterprise, private homes, and in dry grass. Vehicles and a gas station were also damaged.
According to Lysak, in the Kryvyi Rih district, a drone targeted the Novopilska community, triggering a fire that was later extinguished.
The Nikopol district was also hit by FPV drones, with strikes recorded in the Marhanetska, Myrivska, and Pokrovska communities.
Earlier, it was reported that at least 18 people, including three children aged 2, 14, and 17, were killed and 48 others injured in a large-scale overnight Russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv.
