Russia Launches Massive Overnight Drone and Missile Barrage on Ukraine, Dozens Injured, Four Killed

Russian forces launched a wave of drone and missile attacks across multiple regions of Ukraine overnight on April 3–4, inflicting widespread destruction, killing four people and injuring 39, Ukrainian officials reported on April 4.

In the Kyiv region, drones struck the Brovary district, injuring two people. The strikes ignited fires that destroyed two trucks and two passenger vehicles in a parking lot and damaged another 19 cars.

A nearby car dealership and six vehicles inside the showroom also caught fire. Emergency crews managed to save an adjacent administrative building from the blaze.

In Zaporizhzhia, two civilians—a 70-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man—were injured in a Russian drone attack. Over 24 hours, Russian forces launched 311 attacks on 10 towns and villages across the region.

In Dnipro and its suburbs, Russia’s overnight drone assault damaged an infrastructure facility, two administrative buildings, several residential homes and guest houses, a farm building, and a disused structure. Cars, gas pipelines, and power lines were also damaged. There were no casualties reported.

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv beginning at 9:58 pm on April 3. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, at least two Shahed drone strikes hit the Novobavarskyi district, one impacting a two-story building and another striking a multi-story residential building.

“The drone strike caused a fire on the roof of the apartment building, covering 500 square meters, and ignited seven cars and two apartments totaling 70 square meters,” said Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Officials confirmed that 35 people, including one child, had been injured. Emergency services later confirmed four fatalities as rescue workers recovered bodies from beneath the rubble.

Earlier, Russian forces struck the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, with a ballistic missile, killing at least four people and injuring ten.
