A Russian drone attack on the Boryspil district of Kyiv region overnight resulted in the death of a railway worker and caused significant damage to infrastructure. Emergency services responded to a fire at a warehouse, while several buildings and vehicles sustained damage.
According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the attack targeted a railway crossing, where a 60-year-old man, identified as a railway employee, was killed at his workplace. Ukrainian Railways confirmed the casualty and expressed condolences to the victim’s family.
Emergency services reported that the strike ignited a fire in a warehouse facility. The fire was contained by 1 a.m. local time, with 68 personnel and 15 units of equipment deployed for the response.

The attack also caused structural damage to a residential building, a school, a kindergarten, a store, and a number of vehicles, including a police patrol car. Authorities continue assessing the full extent of the impact.
Ukrainian Railways stated that train operations in the affected area were adjusted but remained on schedule with reduced speed limits. Law enforcement and emergency responders continue working at the site to document the aftermath.
Earlier, Russian forces attacked Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, damaging facilities in Kharkiv and power networks in Odesa. Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said the strikes aimed to weaken Ukraine’s energy system. Air defenses intercepted 80 drones, with 78 others likely neutralized.
