On the night of April 12, Russian drones targeted Kyiv, causing fires in two districts of the capital. Ukrainian emergency services have since localized the fires, with response efforts still ongoing.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the attack led to multiple fires in the Sviatoshyn district. One fire broke out in a single-story warehouse covering approximately 1,500 square meters and was brought under control at 06:22.
Another fire affected two additional warehouse structures—one of 1,000 square meters and the other of 150 square meters—on the premises of an industrial facility. These structures suffered partial destruction.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that, in addition to the fires in Sviatoshyn, a private residential building in the Darnytskyi district was also damaged by fire during the attack. Local air defense systems were active during the assault.
At least three people were injured in the Sviatoshyn district, according to updated information from city officials.
As of 07:00, the fires in the Sviatoshyn district had been localized, and emergency crews continue working at the affected sites.
