"Stupid and Destructive Behaviour": Zelenskyy Condemns Russia’s Relentless Attacks on Ukraine

In one of the most intense and destructive assaults on Kyiv since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, dozens of ballistic missiles and suicide drones struck the capital overnight — injuring at least 23 civilians and igniting widespread fires throughout the city.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it one of the most large-scale airstrikes to date — “a demonstratively significant and cynical attack.”

The announcement was made on Telegram om June 4.

According to the President, air raid sirens began across multiple cities almost simultaneously with media reports about a phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

“Russia once again shows it has no intention of ending this war and its terror,” Zelenskyy said. The air alert in Kyiv lasted until around 9:00 a.m.

The capital was the primary target. Ukrainian defenders used interceptor drones during the attack, successfully shooting down dozens of enemy aerial targets.

Other regions also came under fire — including Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions. At least 23 people were injured. Debris caused widespread destruction, and in some cases, there were direct hits.

Zelenskyy called this an “obvious proof” that without significant pressure, Russia will not change its “stypid and destructive behavior.”

“For every such strike against people and life, Russia must feel the impact through sanctions and other blows — on their economy, on their profits, on their infrastructure,” Ukrainian President added, emphasizing that this depends on Ukraine’s partners, primarily the United States.

Earlier, the US President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States continues to provide weapons to Ukraine, despite growing concerns over the pressure this places on US military stockpiles.
