“The Most Important” Talks on Ukraine to Be Held in Warsaw, Says Poland’s Foreign Minister
Next week, Warsaw will host significant discussions regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, announced that on November 19, a meeting will be held in the “Weimar Triangle Plus” format. This meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of Poland, Germany, and France, as well as other key European representatives, to discuss Ukraine’s future and international support in the face of Russian aggression.
“These will be the most important talks on the war in Ukraine, and they will take place in Warsaw. Next week, I will host a meeting in the Weimar Triangle Plus format,” Sikorski stated.
Sikorski emphasized that the talks in Warsaw are set to be crucial in shaping the EU’s position on Ukraine. Among the attendees will be Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, and the newly appointed High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kalas.
Sikorski stated that the talks reflect the increasing urgency of addressing Russian aggression against Ukraine, noting that no decisions about Ukraine’s future could be made without Ukraine’s involvement.
The upcoming meeting is part of broader discussions within the EU, including the Foreign Affairs Council scheduled for the same day, where decisions on military defense and further EU support for Ukraine are expected.
Sikorski also mentioned that major decisions on freezing Russian assets will be on the agenda, underscoring the importance of the coming discussions in shaping both Ukraine’s defense strategy and the EU’s role in the crisis.
