Ukrainian forces have carried out a series of strikes targeting Russian air defense assets, hitting radar systems and a surface-to-air missile complex as part of ongoing efforts to weaken the enemy’s air defense network, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on April 14.

According to the statement, Ukrainian units struck the Nebo-U radar system in Feodosia in occupied Crimea, a key component used to monitor airspace and support Russian air defense operations.

Additional strikes targeted another airspace surveillance radar near the settlement of Nikolayevka, as well as a Kasta-2E radar system near Lubyanoe-Pervoye. Both locations are in Russia’s Belgorod region.

Separately, Ukrainian forces also hit a Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile system near the settlement of Lozove in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

The Tor system is designed to counter a wide range of aerial threats, including drones and cruise missiles, and is widely used by Russian forces to defend against Ukrainian UAV operations.

The extent of the damage is still being assessed, according to the General Staff.

Earlier, Ukrainian paratroopers eliminated a group of 29 Russian troops who attempted to infiltrate behind Ukrainian lines by moving through a gas pipeline in the Sumy region.
