Ukraine’s Drone Army Hit 820,000 Russian Targets in 2025, Defense Minister Says

In 2025 alone, Ukraine’s “Drone Army” program struck nearly 820,000 Russian targets, including 240,000 enemy personnel either eliminated or critically injured. The figures were announced on January 26 by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, during the “Drone Army—2025” event attended by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Fedorov, a total of 819,737 confirmed strikes were documented via video evidence throughout the year. Among them were:
240,000 hits on enemy personnel,
62,000 on light vehicles,
29,000 on heavy military equipment,
32,000 on enemy strike and reconnaissance UAVs.
President Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine’s technological dominance on the battlefield, noting that over 80% of enemy targets are now destroyed by drones, most of which are produced domestically.
“We must secure Ukraine’s permanent technological leadership—that means even greater effectiveness from our drone developers, production lines, and frontline operators,” he said.

Fedorov described the program as a “breakthrough,” especially because it provides real, verifiable battlefield data to guide military decision-making. In 2026, the program will expand to award points not only for drone strikes but also for the efforts of air defense units, army aviation, and snipers.
Top-performing drone units were honored during the event based on the system’s internal scoring — known as “ePoints.” The top 10 included:
414th UAV Brigade “Birds of Madyar”;
SBU’s Alpha Special Center;
Lasar’s Group of the National Guard;
UAV Battalion “Phoenix”;
3rd Assault Brigade;
429th UAV Brigade “Achilles”;
427th UAV Brigade “Raroh”;
59th UAV Assault Brigade;
412th UAV Brigade “NEMESIS”;
UAV Battalion of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade.

Fedorov noted that each award represents a real battlefield result and that the Ministry of Defense is scaling these practices across the front to build technological superiority.
Future goals include increasing the strike depth to disrupt Russian logistics and destroy enemy drone crews. To encourage this, new point multipliers will reward strikes achieved at longer ranges.
Top producers of battlefield technologies and equipment were also recognized for effectiveness and popularity on the Brave1 Market platform.

In his closing remarks, Fedorov thanked the drone crews and military personnel for their bravery, innovation, and sacrifice.
“You prove that modern warfare is won not by numbers, but by intelligence, speed, and precision,” he said.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry announced the launch of Mission Control, a revolutionary project aimed at centralizing drone operations within a unified digital system.
