The Ukrainian band “Antytila ” has donated a high-speed multipurpose boat to Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) for combat operations, HUR reported on March 26.

As part of the charity initiative “Boats for HUR,” the musicians raised $248 thousand to purchase a T12 multipurpose boat for military intelligence.

The 12-meter vessel features a reinforced hull and an advanced navigation system. Equipped with two 800-horsepower engines, it can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and has a range of 500 km.

Designed for a 16-person crew, the boat can be used for combat missions, special operations, and medical evacuations.

“This isn’t the first boat we’ve helped procure, and we know this one will also play a role in victory. We continue working to strengthen our army,” said Taras Topolia, the frontman of “Antytila.”

Last year, the band funded combat equipment for operations in the Crimean direction and donated 5,000 tactical medical kits to Ukraine’s special forces.

Earlier, Poland raised $300,000 in a day and a half to purchase an armored medical evacuation vehicle for Ukraine.

The fundraising campaign was launched by Sierakowski and American historian Timothy Snyder on an online platform following discussions at the Munich Security Conference about Ukraine’s urgent needs.

Antytila is a Ukrainian musical group. Shortly before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the band joined the Territorial Defense Forces, having previously served as volunteers since the Russian occupation of Crimea in 2014. In March 2022, the band made an appeal to perform remotely in the Concert for Ukraine, a benefit concert raising funds for those affected by the Russian invasion. Their appeal included a message to singer Ed Sheeran via TikTok. The band were refused a place at the concert due to their association with the military. In response, Sheeran collaborated with the band on a remix of his song “2step”, with profits from streams of the music video being donated to Music Saves UA, a fundraising project created to provide humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
