Ukrainian drones struck more than 105,000 Russian targets in February, according to Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyy.

This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda on March 12.

He noted that about a quarter of those strikes were carried out by units from the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping.

Syrskyy also stated that Ukrainian drones struck about 4,200 enemy pilot positions in February.

He also highlighted the development of Ukraine’s fiber-optic FPV drone direction.

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forming interceptor drone platoons to counter Russian attack drones.

He described their mission as the destruction of “FPV drones, quadcopters, enemy strike unmanned aerial vehicles, and improving logistics for our troops.”

Syrskyy added that anti-drone guns, electronic warfare tools, and net launchers are being used for that purpose.

“The war has entered a new stage,” Syrskyy noted. “The increase in the length of kill zones is becoming a consequence of the growing capabilities of strike UAVs.”

He declared that Ukraine must accelerate the development, procurement, and battlefield use of effective unmanned systems to prevail in what he called a technological war.

The broader campaign also includes targeted operations against Russian drone launch sites and support units.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces said they destroyed 44 Russian drone launch sites in 24 hours as part of a broader wave of strikes aimed at suppressing enemy UAV activity and reducing pressure on frontline units.

The force reported striking more than 1,000 targets in the same period, including artillery systems, vehicles, and Russian drones, describing the effort as a high-tempo campaign to degrade launch teams and supporting logistics.

The report noted that the strikes combined reconnaissance and precision attacks to locate launch areas quickly and destroy them before crews could relocate, highlighting the expanding role of drones in counter-battery and battlefield interdiction.
