Ukrainian FM Sybiha Visits Zaporizhzhia With EU Envoys to Show Solidarity

On July 20, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, visited the city of Zaporizhzhia alongside a delegation of foreign ambassadors. The diplomatic visit was aimed at demonstrating solidarity with residents living near the front line and assessing the current humanitarian and security conditions.
“We are here to express support to Zaporizhzhia and all cities that are resisting under daily threats,” said Sybiha during a press briefing. “Ukraine’s diplomatic corps stands united with our citizens living near the contact line. They are on the frontline not just of war, but of Europe’s freedom.”

The delegation included ambassadors from Croatia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Slovenia, as well as representatives from the EU and the European Investment Bank.
According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the group met with regional officials and inspected infrastructure facilities damaged by ongoing Russian attacks.
During the trip, Sybiha and the delegation visited a humanitarian logistics hub, a restored residential building, and a hospital treating civilians wounded in Russian shelling. They also honored the memory of fallen defenders with a moment of silence at a local memorial.
As part of Ukraine’s foreign policy agenda, Sybiha emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with international partners, particularly in areas of recovery financing and regional security.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized Russia had not yet responded to the US proposal for a 30‑day ceasefire, stating that any reply must come “without additional conditions,” and noted Ukraine’s diplomatic commitment to a just peace.
