Ukrainian Forces Wipe Out Long-Range Russian Radar in Crimea in Behind-Lines Special Operation

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) have reported the destruction of a Russian TRLK-10 “Skala-M” radar system in occupied Crimea.
According to the SSO, the operation was carried out by units of the Resistance Movement during the night of August 9–10 in the settlement of Abrykosivka, located in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The TRLK-10 “Skala-M” is a Soviet-Russian stationary route radar complex equipped with both primary and secondary air target detection capabilities.
It is designed to monitor air traffic on flight routes and in approach zones, with an operational range of up to 350 kilometers. Ukrainian forces stated that the system plays a key role in controlling airspace and supporting aviation operations.

The SSO noted that the elimination of the radar will significantly reduce the Russian military’s ability to employ aircraft over the region.
On the morning of August 10, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that air defense systems had intercepted 15 drones over Crimea during the night. Local media and social networks shared accounts of explosions in the city of Saky. Russian authorities typically acknowledge air defense activity over the peninsula but rarely confirm damage to military infrastructure.
Earlier, Ukrainian military intelligence units under the “Timur” formation carried out a large-scale behind-lines operation near the village of Oleksiivka in the Sumy region, killing over 330 Russian troops and wounding more than 550.
The mission, involving close-quarters combat, artillery fire from 155-mm “Bohdana” howitzers, FPV drone strikes, and helicopter insertions, targeted Russian logistics and supply lines, halting the enemy’s advance and temporarily stabilizing the front, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.
