Agents of the partisan movement Atesh carried out a sabotage operation in the Russian city of Smolensk, targeting a railway line leading to a major aviation plant involved in missile and drone production.
According to Atesh on September 21, the group disabled more than ten elements of the railway’s control system and damaged the track that connects directly to the Smolensk Aviation Plant.

The facility is a key supplier of Kh-59 guided missiles for Russia’s Ministry of Defense and also manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles, target drones, light aircraft, and components for frontline aviation.
“The plant is a strategic target, and we will continue to strike such facilities. Defense industry enterprises are not protected, and production disruptions will grow,” Atesh stated in its message.
Members of the organization with connections to the factory confirmed that missile logistics have already been disrupted. The group emphasized that the sabotage will continue to impact the plant’s ability to fulfill state defense contracts.
Earlier, on August 24, Atesh partisans reported sabotaging a railway in Russia’s Primorsky Krai by destroying a relay cabinet, disrupting train traffic and delaying the transport of military supplies. The group stated it would continue targeting Russian logistics deep in the rear.
