The Atesh partisan movement said it sabotaged a railway line near occupied Simferopol, temporarily halting train traffic and disrupting supplies for Russian forces on the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia fronts, according to RBC-Ukraine on November 9.

“Atesh,” said its agents, “carried out a successful sabotage on the railway lines around Simferopol, delivering a blow to a key logistical artery of the Russian occupation forces,” adding that the action “directly disrupted the supply of ammunition, fuel, and equipment.”

The statement was posted on the group’s Telegram channel and quoted by multiple outlets.

As of publication, no Ukrainian or Russian authorities had officially confirmed the incident.

The operation matches a pattern of claimed attacks on rail infrastructure by the movement. On October 26, Atesh said it disabled relay equipment near Armiansk in Crimea, and on October 12, it reported sabotage against railway infrastructure in Russia’s Rostov region.

Both incidents were reported by recognized media with attribution to the group. Ukrainian officials have previously said Russia relies on rail as a “main element of logistics” for supplying its forces.

Earlier, partisans of Atesh previously carried out sabotage on railway infrastructure near Crimea, including a relay‑cabinet burn and signal disruption along the Simferopol–Sevastopol corridor.
