Ukraine has unveiled a new initiative allowing foreign defense companies to test their technologies under real battlefield conditions, announced Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during an online speech at the LANDEURO defense conference in Wiesbaden, Ukrainian Brave1 defense tech cluster reported on July 16.
“Ukraine has already built a unique infrastructure for the rapid development of defense innovation,” Fedorov said.
“We are ready to help partner countries develop, test, and improve technologies that actually work in combat. This is an opportunity to gain experience that simply cannot be replicated in a laboratory.”
The new platform—Test in Ukraine—is part of the Brave1.

The goal of Test in Ukraine is to draw in foreign partners to co-create battlefield-ready technologies that could help shift the course of the war. International manufacturers of drones, guided missile systems, naval drones, electronic warfare systems, and AI-powered products can now follow a clear roadmap to test their solutions directly in Ukraine.
Battlefield-proven testing, real-time feedback
Through the platform, foreign firms can choose either to test their technologies firsthand in Ukrainian combat zones — adjusting in real-time — or hand them off to Brave1 specialists for evaluation. The Ukrainian team will conduct the testing and deliver a full analytical report to partners. Applications for participation can be submitted via the website.

Participating companies will gain:
Direct feedback from military end-users;
Access to fully equipped test ranges in near-combat conditions;
Detailed protocols and engineering insights for product improvement;
Opportunities to co-produce with Ukrainian firms for faster frontline deployment.
Testing in Ukraine allows companies to tailor solutions to the real challenges of war, gain immediate input from combat troops, and evolve their products using live battlefield data.

The initiative aims to help Ukraine’s allies test and refine their technologies in one of the most dynamic and demanding environments in the world.
A showcase at LANDEURO
LANDEURO, an annual gathering focused on US ground forces in Europe, served as the backdrop for the announcement.
This year’s theme, “Transforming Together with Allies for Combined Battle,” centered on evolving threats, lessons from the war in Ukraine, and the US Army’s push to boost its capabilities and partnerships.

At Ukraine’s exhibit, attendees explored defense innovations that are already reshaping the war. These included the heavy VAMPIRE bomber drone, the Magura naval drone with live remote-control capability, the DELTA situational awareness system, as well as other technologies from over 30 Ukrainian defense technology companies.
In addition, the exhibition features Brave1 Market, a rapidly growing digital marketplace showcasing over 1,600 Ukrainian defense technologies.
Earlier, Ukrainian drone manufacturer Ukrspecsystems was preparing to establish a servicing hub for foreign unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Ukrainian territory, aiming to reduce turnaround time for maintenance and repairs.
