Ukrainian drone manufacturer Ukrspecsystems is prepared to establish a servicing hub for foreign unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Ukrainian territory, aiming to reduce turnaround time for maintenance and repairs.
According to Deputy Director Andrii Rymaruk, the company is currently in discussions with international drone suppliers that do not yet have their own repair infrastructure in Ukraine, Militarnyi reports.
The proposal was presented during the Brave1 Connect event, where Ukrspecsystems engaged with foreign manufacturers interested in establishing localized support in cooperation with Ukrainian partners.
“We are ready to handle maintenance for foreign UAVs to shorten the logistical chain,” said Rymaruk. “If a drone breaks down, instead of sending it back to Poland, the Czech Republic, or the UK for repairs, we can perform the work here in Ukraine.”

Rymaruk emphasized that for the full launch of such a service, certification from the original manufacturers is required. This includes technical personnel training and the establishment of a supply chain for the necessary components and materials.
Despite the lack of formal certification, Ukrspecsystems currently performs light repairs on composite parts of foreign-made UAVs in select cases to expedite their return to operational status.
The company also highlighted the early success of its UAS Components marketplace, launched a month ago. The platform, offering drone parts and modules, has attracted interest from other UAV developers. Ukrspecsystems is positioning itself as a subcontractor for startups, offering production of electronic systems and composite materials at scale, as well as full-cycle or partial research and development services.
The UAS Components catalog includes gyro-stabilized camera systems, antenna trackers, launch catapults, parachute recovery systems, masts, drone batteries, and software.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense deployed the first mobile drone repair workshops—dubbed “Nebokray”—to frontline positions. These fully equipped, trailer-mounted units allow on-site maintenance of copter-type UAVs, significantly reducing repair time and boosting operational efficiency.
