Russia’s tank losses have surpassed 12,000 since the start of the full-scale invasion, as Ukraine reported another costly day for Russian forces across manpower, armor, artillery, drones, and logistics vehicles.

Russian forces lost another 1,370 troops, four tanks, five armored combat vehicles, and 75 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Ground Forces reported on June 9.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,376,320.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of four multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, seven ground robotic systems, 2,103 operational-tactical drones, 382 vehicles and fuel tankers, and four pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall, Russian equipment losses reported by Ukraine now include 12,001 tanks, 24,710 armored combat vehicles, 43,639 artillery systems, 1,851 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,411 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 338,327 operational-tactical drones, 4,733 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 104,796 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,263 pieces of special equipment.

The Ukrainian military added that 260 combat engagements took place along the front line over the past day as Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to repel Russian attacks across multiple sectors.

Earlier, amid the fading prospects of the T-14 Armata, Russia’s state-owned Uralvagonzavod began discussing the development of a next-generation main battle tank.

The company’s director general, Alexander Potapov, recently hinted at a shift toward incorporating artificial intelligence and high levels of platform robotization in future armored vehicle designs.
