The assault caused widespread destruction across the Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. In the Desnianskyi district, a missile landed near a university dormitory, shattering its windows and injuring a 20-year-old woman.
Blast waves also damaged a nearby residential building, where emergency crews suspect residents may be trapped under the rubble.
In the Dniprovskyi district, shockwaves blew out windows in the intensive care unit of one hospital and two departments of another facility, though no personnel or patients were injured. A separate strike hit a non-residential site near a local supermarket, killing one civilian.

On October 21, the United States restored critical early-warning intelligence sharing with Ukraine regarding Russian ballistic missile launches after a Russian strike hit a 24-story residential building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district.
The attack struck near the 20th floor, triggering a fire that killed two people and injured two others. Zelenskyy confirmed the resumption of intelligence cooperation following meetings with US officials, emphasizing that early warnings provided civilians with crucial time to seek shelter from incoming ballistic missiles.
