The strike caused a fire that completely destroyed the local school building and all property inside, Seliverstov said in a statement published on Facebook.
No civilian casualties were reported following the attack.
Local authorities are continuing to assess the full scale of the destruction and determine the final consequences of the strike.
These strike follows a pattern of heavy drone assaults on the region that have inflicted civilian casualties and widespread devastation.

During an earlier attack on May 21, Russian drone strikes killed one person and injured two others after a Russian UAV struck the Novhorod-Siverskyi district in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
“Chernihiv region: one person was killed and two more were injured as a result of a Russian UAV strike on the Novhorod-Siverskyi district,” the agency said.
The attack also triggered fires at an agricultural facility, where a vehicle and a warehouse were set ablaze. Emergency responders said the fires were extinguished by the morning.

In December 2025, Russian forces also deployed strike drones to intentionally target civilian infrastructure in Shostka, Sumy region, striking a sports school during a youth training session.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, stated that the attack was a deliberate act, with two drones directly aimed at the facility while children were inside.
