Russian Forces Strike Major Ukrainian Postal Hub in Dnipro for the Fifth Time

Russian forces launched a strike on a Nova Poshta  logistics terminal in the Dnipro district on July 30.

This marks the fifth attack on the facility, according to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

Opened in February 2022, the Dnipro Automated Sorting Hub is Ukraine's second-largest parcel sorting facility, making it a key logistics center for eastern Ukraine.

The 18,000-square-meter complex consists of two buildings, processes between 26,000 and 36,000 parcels per hour, and services over 100 settlements across 3 regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk.

Staff evacuated to shelters in time, leaving no casualties, though the hit started a fire on the terminal roof. Mykola Lukashuk confirmed that the company’s safety protocols protected employees from harm.

He highlighted the civilian role of the postal operator in maintaining everyday life and economic stability.

The facility utilizes automated equipment from European suppliers MHS Global and Equinox alongside Ukrainian SBR robotic carts, according to volunteer Tymofiy Kucher.

During the same evening, Russian strikes also targeted an administrative building of a local food industry company. The attack coincided with broader strikes across the country on July 30, during which another Nova Poshta sorting hub in Poltava was hit. The mail carrier confirmed it will assess all damages and compensate customers for the full declared value of impacted items.
