Russian Jet-Powered Drones Strike Kyiv Fuel Storage Infrastructure

Russian forces launched a daytime air attack on Kyiv on September 22 using jet-powered Shahed drones, resulting in a direct hit on fuel storage tanks in the northern Obolonskyi district, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The strike injured eight people across the city, with three victims hospitalized and five others receiving treatment on-site or in outpatient care.

Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, train services on the Kyiv City Express were temporarily suspended in both directions due to the elevated air threat.

In addition to the damage in the Obolonskyi district, municipal authorities reported an additional casualty in the central Pecherskyi district, where a medical crew was sent to provide assistance.

Air defense systems were active over the capital as explosions echoed across several neighborhoods during the afternoon assault.

As a result of a repeated Russian strike, the warehouse complex of the company producing Snow Panda products, including toilet paper and napkins, was completely destroyed.
