The vehicle is designed to recover and tow damaged armored vehicles weighing up to 30 tons. The company also confirmed that the platform is equipped with an electronic warfare system mounted on the roof.

The announcement was accompanied by comments from Inguar Defence CEO Artem Yushchuk, who described the Inguar-4 as a “platform for any type of heavy system” and stated that the first configuration focuses on armored vehicle recovery operations.

“From today, Ukraine has a highly armored, high-speed 6×6 chassis. Inguar-4 is a platform for any type of heavy system,” Yushchuk wrote on social media.

He added that the recovery variant was developed to address the need for domestically produced armored evacuation vehicles capable of supporting expanding deployments of Inguar-3 armored vehicles within Ukrainian units.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle includes mounting systems compatible with several commonly used Ukrainian and Western armored platforms, including the M113, Kozak, Roshel, Novator, Gyurza, MaxxPro, and Kirpi.

The company also indicated that another version of the Inguar-4 platform is currently in development. Yushchuk described the upcoming configuration as “the most desired, and definitely the most strategically important,” though no additional details were disclosed.

The Inguar-4 platform was first publicly referenced in April 2026. The chassis is based on a modified and extended version of the company’s Inguar-3 armored vehicle frame, incorporating an additional axle and independent suspension system.

Unlike many armored vehicles assembled in Ukraine using imported commercial truck platforms, both the Inguar-3 and Inguar-4 use a proprietary chassis developed specifically for military requirements and heavy-duty operational loads. According to the manufacturer, most of the suspension and running gear production has been localized in Ukraine.

Earlier, Inguar Defence unveiled the Inguar-3 MED, a dedicated armored medical evacuation vehicle based on the combat-tested Inguar-3 platform. The vehicle features a rapid-load rear ramp, modular medical compartment, and capacity for two wounded personnel, while retaining STANAG 4569 Level 3 protection and the platform’s high-mobility chassis.
