The unit also released video footage purportedly showing strikes carried out by operators of the brigade’s Black Sky battalion.
“The approaches to Donetsk are becoming hotter for the enemy. Operators of the Black Sky battalion of the Spartan brigade are detecting and destroying military transport while simultaneously operating across occupied Donetsk region. This summer will be especially hot for the Russians,” the brigade said in a statement.
The strikes near Donetsk come amid continued Ukrainian operations targeting Russian military infrastructure and personnel across occupied territories.
Separately, Ukrainian forces from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck a headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service and destroyed a Pantsir-S1 air defense system in temporarily occupied Kherson region, according to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy highlighted the role of the SBU’s Special Operations Center “A,” saying the operation resulted in around 100 Russian casualties, including both killed and wounded personnel.
“The Russians must feel that they need to end this war of theirs,” the President said.

Moreover, Ukrainian forces hit a Russian training and production facility in temporarily occupied Donetsk region during an operation dubbed “Akhmat’s Snow,” killing 65 cadets from the “Sever-Akhmat” 78th Special Purpose Motorized Brigade, according to Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
Brovdi stated that the operation was coordinated by the Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces and conducted jointly by the 1st Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces together with the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the commander, the strike targeted a facility in the city of Snizhne in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory that was being used by the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences.
