NATO Confirms Four Ukraine Aid Packages Funded Under PURL, Two Already Shipped

NATO has confirmed that four aid packages under the Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) program have been financed, with two already on their way to Ukraine.
The development was reported by a NATO representative in a comment to RBC-Ukraine on September 18.
“In total, four packages have been financed under the Priority Ukraine Requirements List. Part of the equipment from the first packages has already arrived in Ukraine, and more is on the way,” the official said.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the first two aid packages under the new PURL program will include missiles for Patriot air-defense systems and HIMARS rocket launchers.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has already secured more than $2 billion from international partners specifically for the program, and that the total could increase to $3.5–3.6 billion by October.
Earlier, the US President`s administration approved its first US weapons aid packages for Ukraine, which could soon be delivered as Washington resumes arms supplies to Kyiv.
For the first time, a new mechanism developed by the United States and its allies is being used to transfer weapons from US stockpiles, with funding provided by NATO member states.
