Russian Drone Strike Hit Post Terminal, Damages Homes in Lutsk, Western Ukraine

Russian drones struck the city of Lutsk on April 1, destroying a Nova Post terminal and damaging residential buildings, local authorities reported.

According to the Lutsk City Council, “A strike hit one of the industrial facilities in Lutsk. Debris from a Shahed drone also damaged a multi-story residential building. Information about casualties is being clarified.”
Former Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk said the attack targeted key logistics infrastructure.
“The Nova Post warehouse and a food warehouse belonging to one of the retail chains were identified as strategic targets for the attack. A balcony in one of the multi-story residential buildings was also damaged, where a fire broke out,” he stated.
Nova Post confirmed that the strike took place on the morning of April 1 and that its terminal in the city was destroyed. The company said all employees were in shelters at the time of the attack and were not injured.

Emergency services, including police and the State Emergency Service, are currently working at the site. Authorities are continuing to assess the extent of the damage.
The company said it would compensate customers for lost shipments.

At the same time, Ukraine’s NOVA Group has introduced a new annual strategic summit presenting 25 large-scale “megaprojects.” The initiatives are designed to position the company among the world’s top 20 logistics providers by 2030.
The summit gathered more than 700 entrepreneurs and partners to discuss NOVA’s shift from a domestic market leader to a global logistics ecosystem operating in 160 countries. Co-founder Vyacheslav Klymov outlined a target of reaching 2 billion shipments per year by 2030.
