The Ukrainian Paralympic team concluded their participation at the Paris 2024 Games on September 8, marking the end of a successful campaign. The final medal of the Games for Ukraine was secured by Anton Kryukov, who earned silver in the men’s powerlifting category (over 108 kg). This medal brought Ukraine’s total count to 82 medals at the Paris Games.

In recognition of their achievements, Ukrainian athletes will receive financial rewards from the state budget, managed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The prize money for the Paralympians is consistent with that of the Olympians: $125,000 for gold, $80,000 for silver, and $55,000 for bronze.

The highest earnings among Ukrainian athletes were claimed by swimmer Andrii Trusov. With two gold medals and three silver medals, Trusov will receive a total of $550,000 in prize money. Swimmers dominated the top ten earnings list, with nine swimmers making the list. The top ten also includes fencer Olena Fedota-Isaeva and runner Ihor Tsvietov.

10. Olexii Virchenko (Swimming): $180,000

11. Marina Piddubna (Swimming): $180,000

The total prize money awarded to Ukrainian Paralympic athletes amounts to $8.095 million, which translates to approximately 332.49 million UAH. The distribution of these awards by sport is as follows:

  • Swimming: $3.785 million

  • Athletics: $1.755 million

  • Judo: $485,000

  • Goalball: $480,000

  • Fencing: $430,000

  • Table Tennis: $370,000

  • Canoe Sprint and Rowing: $260,000 each

  • Powerlifting: $135,000

  • Rowing: $80,000

  • Boccia: $55,000
