After evaluating the situation using the “METT-TC” framework, it was determined that a traditional ambush would carry significant risks for the special operations team, according to the statement.
Instead, SSO operators infiltrated behind enemy lines, planted explosives at key points, and successfully exfiltrated without incident.
“The result was the destruction of the enemy and the severing of their infiltration route in this section of the front,” Special Operations Forces added.
Just a day eralier, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian army auxiliary command post in the eastern part of the country with US-supplied ATACMS missiles.
According to Ukraine's General Staff, Rocket Forces and Artillery units successfully struck the post of Russia’s 5th army near Novopetrivka, in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region.
The General Staff also reported additional strikes by Ukrainian forces. They targeted a “Rubicon” storage and equipment depot near Vasylivka, located in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.

Furthermore, ammunition and logistics depots were hit near Pryazovske in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, as well as near Oleksandrivka in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. These actions form part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian operations and infrastructure in occupied territories.
Previously, Ukrainian special forces from the “Artan” unit of the Defense Intelligence Directorate, in collaboration with other units of Ukraine’s Armored Forces, successfully retook several frontline positions near the settlement of Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
