Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,540 Troops, 51 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,540 troops and 51 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 7.
According to the latest Ukrainian military figures, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,497,980.

Russian forces also lost one tank and six armored combat vehicles during the latest reporting period, bringing their cumulative losses to 12,332 tanks and 25,284 armored combat vehicles.
Artillery losses climbed to 49,311 systems after another 51 were recorded over the past day. Ukraine also reported seven Russian multiple-launch rocket systems and four air defense systems lost, bringing the respective totals to 2,103 and 1,609.
Russia’s estimated aviation losses remain unchanged at 441 aircraft and 355 helicopters.

The General Staff also reported nine unmanned ground systems lost over the past day, raising Russia’s cumulative losses in that category to 2,516.
Another 1,473 operational-tactical UAVs were recorded as lost during the latest 24-hour period, bringing the total to 502,717.
Russia’s other estimated losses stand at 5,070 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, two submarines, 145,026 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,647 pieces of special equipment. Over the past day alone, Russian forces lost another 591 vehicles and fuel tankers and three pieces of special equipment.

Ukrainian and Russian forces clashed 237 times across the front during the latest reporting period.
Russia also carried out 87 airstrikes, dropping 313 guided aerial bombs, according to the General Staff. Russian forces deployed 8,812 strike drones and conducted 2,646 strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Previously, reports emerged that Russian conscripts were being blocked from leaving the country, with some learning of exit bans only at border control or watching the restriction surface in the state registry minutes later.
