Newly published images indicate that Ukraine’s June 27 strike on Russia’s Titan-Barrikady defense plant in Volgograd caused significant damage to one of the facility’s main production buildings.

The damaged structure houses the plant’s mechanical assembly and tooling operations, which support the production of launch systems for Russian strategic missile programs.

Photographs published by the Telegram channel Exilenova+ show heavy damage to Building No. 38, one of the plant’s primary manufacturing facilities. The destruction could temporarily disrupt operations inside the workshop, where mechanical components are assembled using heavy industrial equipment.

The workshop appears in the company’s own promotional materials and contains overhead cranes, machine tools, and production equipment used to manufacture launcher systems for several Russian strategic missile programs.

Anniversary footage released by the enterprise also shows computer numerical control (CNC) machinery produced by Japanese industrial automation company Fanuc operating inside the facility.

Titan-Barrikady, located roughly 400 kilometers from Ukraine’s border, is one of Russia’s key defense manufacturers and operates under the state corporation Roscosmos. The enterprise is one of the few Russian facilities capable of carrying out the full production cycle—from research and development to serial production—of military systems.

The plant manufactures components for several Russian missile systems, including the Oreshnik, Iskander-M, Topol-M, and Yars complexes, and also produces large-caliber artillery barrels, including 152 mm barrels for the Msta-B and Msta-S howitzers.

According to an assessment by the Dnipro Osint community, at least three Flamingo cruise missiles struck the plant during the June 27 attack. The reported impact points include Workshop No. 2, the main production building of Workshop No. 38, and another production facility whose purpose has not been identified.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that June became a record month for Ukraine’s long-range strikes inside Russia, with analysts saying increasingly large drone swarms are overwhelming Russian air defenses. According to Janes, the number of confirmed deep strikes nearly tripled compared with May, while Ukrainian drone attacks have increasingly targeted Russia’s military, industrial, and energy infrastructure.
