Ukraine’s 1st National Guard Corps “Azov” says its long-range drones are bringing key Russian supply routes in southern Ukraine under fire control, targeting military logistics on roads linking Mariupol with Taganrog and Volnovakha.
In footage released on May 25, Ukrainian drones can be seen monitoring traffic flows, identifying Russian military vehicles, and striking targets along routes used by Russian forces in the so-called land corridor to occupied Crimea.

According to Azov, the strikes are designed to deprive Russian troops of safe logistics routes in the Azov Sea region and push Ukraine’s “sanitary zone” for enemy supply lines closer to Russia and occupied Crimea.
“The territory of Ukraine must be free of Russian troops. The most reliable way to achieve this is to move the ‘sanitary zone’ for enemy logistics closer to Russia itself and occupied Crimea,” Azov said.
The corps said its drone operators are already carrying out missions near the Russian border, striking targets on the Mariupol–Taganrog and Mariupol–Volnovakha highways.
“Azov patrols the borderlands around Mariupol,” the unit stated. “There will be no safe Azov Sea region for the occupiers anymore.”

The campaign marks another step in Ukraine’s expanding use of long-range drones to pressure Russian logistics far behind the immediate front line, especially along routes sustaining Moscow’s forces in southern Ukraine and occupied Crimea.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russian occupation authorities processed demolished Mariupol housing into about 100,000 tons of crushed stone used for highway construction in temporarily occupied southern Ukraine, likely mixed with the remains of dead residents.
