Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a Russian Project 10410 Svetlyak patrol ship in the Sea of Azov, according to the commander of the service, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, who released footage of the attack on June 4.

Brovdi said operators from the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces hit the Russian FSB Border Guard Service vessel near Yurkine, a settlement in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The footage shows the Ukrainian strike drone closing in on the vessel and hitting the ship’s starboard-side superstructure. A group of Russian sailors appeared to be standing on the starboard side at the moment of impact, likely attempting to shoot down the incoming drone.

Because of that, the ship’s crew may have suffered casualties.

According to Brovdi, the overnight strikes by Ukraine’s drone forces targeted a range of Russian military assets in the operational depth of the occupation forces.

Among the targets was the Project 10410 Svetlyak border patrol ship near Yurkine in Crimea, hit by the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The vessel is designed to control and protect ports and ships, as well as create a tactical line of air defense and anti-submarine defense. It is 49.5 meters long, has a crew of 28, and can operate autonomously for up to 10 days with a range of 2,200 miles.

Its reported armament includes 16 Igla man-portable air defense systems, an AK-176 artillery gun, 14.5mm machine gun mounts, and six-barrel anti-aircraft guns.

Ukrainian drone operators also struck a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense missile-gun system near Strilkove in the Kherson region, Brovdi said.

Another target was an RSBN-4N short-range radio navigation system near Saky in occupied Crimea. That system is used to support aviation navigation and operations.

The 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raid” hit locomotives near Vladyslavivka and Rozdolne in Crimea, targeting Russian transport infrastructure.

Ukraine’s 20th Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces “K-2” struck transformers near Bulavynske and Vuhlehirsk in the Donetsk region.

Fuel tanks were also hit in Makiivka, Donetsk region, by operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces hit the Russian Navy corvette Boykiy, a guided missile-armed warship of the Baltic Fleet, during a drone attack on the Kronstadt naval base near St. Petersburg.
