During talks with his Danish counterpart, Fedorov thanked Denmark for its continued military support to Ukraine. He also briefed the Danish side on the current situation on the battlefield, noting that Ukraine is “intercepting the initiative and moving according to its own defense strategy.”

According to the Defense Ministry, the discussions included Ukraine’s so-called middle strike and deep strike capabilities. Kyiv expressed appreciation for Danish investments in the supply of extended-range ammunition.

“Denmark is also preparing a new aid package that provides support under the ‘Danish model.’ Ukraine expects the swift approval of this package in sufficient volume in order to take advantage of the window of opportunity on the battlefield,” the ministry said.

The sides also discussed industrial cooperation, work on anti-ballistic capabilities, and collaboration within the Drone Deal framework. Denmark, in addition, will continue supporting training centers for Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.

In a separate meeting with Guido Crosetto, Ukraine’s defense chief expressed gratitude to Italy for its consistent support. The sides focused on next steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.

They also discussed Italy’s potential participation in a joint European anti-ballistic project. According to the ministry, Italian companies could join the initiative, including through the supply of key components for such systems.

At the latest Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels, held in the Ramstein format, international partners also pledged approximately $4 billion in military assistance.

According to Ukraine’s Defense Minister, the total includes a $1 billion package, which he described as one of the largest single commitments for this type of support since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Allies also announced a preliminary $500 million package earmarked for long-range artillery systems capable of striking targets at distances of more than 30 kilometers.
